Recently, the Reexamination and Invalidation Department of China National Intellectual Property Administration issued an Invalidation Decision on an invention patent titled "carrier having non-orthogonal axes" and owned by Sz Dji Technology Co., Ltd.. On the grounds that the patent lacks inventive step, all the claims involved in the case are declared invalid. As a result, through two years of hard work, Panawell team helped the client win a favorable decision in this patent invalidation case.

The subject of the patent relates to a gimbal platform for unmanned movable objects, which involves multi-disciplinary knowledge such as inertial guidance, motor control and structural design. Two US counterparts of the patent were also granted. Thus, typically it's difficult for an invalidation petitioner to get a favorable result for this case.
