Mr. Daniel Qiang HU
 

Mr. Hu joined the Chinese Patent Office of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) in1994 as a patent examiner in its Mechanical Examination Department. From 2001 to 2007, Mr. Hu worked with China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. as a patent attorney and deputy director of the Mechanical Department. Mr. Hu joined Panawell & Partners, LLC in January, 2007.

 

During his 7-year working period as a patent examiner of the SIPO, Mr. Hu was in charge of examining patent applications in the field of metal working and forming. He received training in European Patent Office in 1998. During his working with China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd., Mr. Hu focused on prosecuting patent applications from abroad, in particular from America, Germany and Japan. His practice includes metallurgical metal forming, general mechanics, materials, textile mechanics and the like. Mr. Hu has extensive and significant experiences in drafting patent applications, responding to Office Actions, handling reexamination and invalidation proceedings. In addition, Mr. Hu was one of the chief attorneys for a few complex patent administrative litigations and patent infringement litigations. During his working with China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd., Mr. Hu represented quite a lot of multinational companies like Siemens, SMS, Bosch, Volkswagen, GE and Mitsubishi, to name only a few.

 

Mr. Hu received advanced trainings for patent prosecution and litigations in German and American law firms in 2003 and 2004. Mr. Hu is a member of the All-China Patent Attorneys Association (ACPAA) and LES China.

 

Mr. Hu's working languages include Chinese, English, German and Japanese.
